The Lowest of Lows

Every night at dinner we go around the table and say our highs and lows...Its a great conversation starter and gives us a window into the boys lives. Last night it was Benjamin's turn. He shared his high and then said, "my low today was really hard." He was at school yesterday so I immediately wondered if something had happened that Tony and I had not yet heard about from a person in authority...

We all got quiet and then he said, "This morning mom asked me to pick up my pajama pants and not leave them on the floor. It was terrible."

***I promise to be back with an update on the pig opera and more....We have just returned from an amazing week with my brother Sam and his family in Virginia. (Sam just returned from 2 months in Pakistan.) I am leaving pronto to head out to the ranch to meet with my college roomates. Cannot wait!

Ok, before reading on I totally prepared myself to hear something very sad...I was taken off guard when I read what a mean mother you are to make your child pick up his pajamas. How dare you? That is great!

LOL! I wonder if I think a lot of things are terrible that God knows are not that big a deal... hmmm? I always giggle at your posts but never realized what a mean mom you really are! Love you!!

Tell him his little life is not so sad . . the poor Vaughn boys are tortured by this chore on a daily basis (and it STILL usually requires mean old mama's prompting for it to happen). He is not alone in his lowest of low times!! Love that kid!!

And I'm holding you to the recap of the pig in the opera . . .I was looking for an update just last night and was so disappointed to not find one!! Have fun with the girls!! GOOD times!

Please know that your boys and their great stories are always a highlight to my day :) They are so precious, so funny, and a blessing from afar!
